Quirkyalone

What a blog did I come across as I signed in my blog account. It was about International Quirkyalone Day, which is not anti-valentine day despite falling on the same date and being opposed in nature. It actually glorifies the feeling of being single and not being ready to mingle just for the heck of it. Verily, quite a few like me are confused nowadays as to what crime they have committed in being single. Just because they did not attest importance to the thought of comanionship after an age makes them vulnerable. There can be a not-so-daffy definition of the portmanteau Quirkyalone.
quirk•y•a•lone n. a person who enjoys being single (but is not opposed to being in a relationship) and generally prefers to be alone rather than date for the sake of being in a couple. With unique traits and an optimistic spirit; a sensibility that transcends relationship status. Also adj. Of, relating to, or embodying quirkyalones.
Then there is good quote:
Language has created the word loneliness to express the pain of being alone, and the word solitude to express the glory of being alone.
-Paul Tillich
Indeed, one can be alone without any problems and not think much about how one is being perceived in the society. Quirkyalones are like that and quirky along with alone best glorifies the singleton status. The blog goes on to ratify that this independence also makes quirkyalones good at long-distance relationships. It is not that Quirkyalones do not get lonely sometimes, just like everybody else. They take it as solitude. Some people need constant interaction to feel like they're fully living, but some of us have to have enough solitude to let us regenerate on a regular basis.
Ergo, there isn't much need to worry about what a married couple is thinking of you if you are a Quirkyalone. There isn't much need to answer when you are planning to get married. There isn't much need of not going for occasinal drinks for the fear of bad smell. The examples in the favour of quirkyalones are also manifold. As long as one is a Quirkyalone one need not be much too worried about the stigma or refactor oneself back into the fold every now and then. After all, solitude is a euphemism for isolation.
