World champions India were brought down to earth, thrashed by a ruthless Australia by nine wickets in a low-scoring Twenty20 cricket international at a packed Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday.
The Indians were bundled out for a paltry 74 in 17.3 overs and the home team rattled up the required runs in just 11.2 overs
It seems that we are done in becz we are too many! The selectors must be nonplussed even more now that the young side's performance against the toughest host as well as the team proved to be a damp squib. The inexperience was palpable. The captain was leading a lost battle, albeit in an unimpressive way. Look at Dhoni's stats in today's TT match.

Now if this is a match saving effort then God save the Indian cricket team. Sachin is always the soft target for many and today too Dhoni commented after the loss that it was good for Sachin to take the break. What does that mean?
The young Indianj brigade seems to be struggling on a quality pitch and against a quality attack. Is TT really not the right test of one's cricketing abilities?
If it is so, then our being a TT World Cup champ was a fluke! Dhoni and quite a few amassed fortunes out of it.
It was perhaps the absence of Yuvi who is Ausralia's nemesis in the quicker format. Yuvi happens to be the saviour for Dhoni's captaincy and Dhoni must be reuing his absence.
