Yuvraj has made a comeback in his signature style. Let us hope he finishes off the game in a similar style. It was disappointing that India failed to take advantage of the initial crucial breaks when Sri Lanka was struggling at 6/2. The bowlers failed to capitalise on the initial breakthrough. Ishant Sharma seems to be overused. He needs a break as too much of dependency might lead to an immature exit or to a performance akin to that of Shoaib Akhtar. All pace and little guile. The pace battery is erratic in temperament and not always piercing. Sangakkara is a real crisis man and bails his team out in crunch situations. His century was great. His huge partnership wih the captain saw Sri Lanka posting a fighting total of 238. In reply, Sachin got out on a duck. That can raise hackles as to when should he plan his retirement. Gilly decided that in a flash and it is high time Sachin decided the same and avoided a disgraced exit. As a die-hard Sachin fan I will never love that. Ergo, it will be tough for a sachin fan like me to see the idol retire but in the larger interest of the idol and the game I feel that his retirement must come in his prime. The old order changes in favour of the newer ones and one has to reconcile to the bitter truth of change.
